Lung Cancer

The Roy Castle Lung Foundation has produced a video called "Living with Lung Cancer" which is a series of lung cancer videos to help prepare both patients and carers for treatment. A variety of people whose lives have been touched by lung cancer share their real life experiences. Lung cancer treatments are explained, as are the roles of each health professional involved in caring for people with lung cancer.

Voice-overs and subtitles are available in English, Welsh, Polish, Italian, German, French and Spanish.

You can also order a DVD with subtitles in Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati and Mandarin.

"Signs and Symptoms of Lung Cancer” This booklet is available from Macmillan in 13 languages and gives information about the signs and symptoms of lung cancer including helpful organisations. You will have to register and log in to their website to place an order for hard copies as these materials are not available to download.

Available in Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, Gujurati, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Somali, Spanish, Turkish and Urdu.

The Prostate Cancer Charity has produced a leaflet aimed specifically at African and Caribbean men called “What do you know about prostate cancer? Information for African Caribbean men” .   This leaflet is for African Caribbean men, their partners and families. It gives information on the risk factors for prostate cancer and the symptoms to look out for. It is available to download from The Prostate Cancer Charity’s website by clicking here

The leaflet “Diet and your risk of prostate cancer” is for men who want to eat more healthily and possibly lower their risk of getting prostate cancer. It provides tips on healthy eating and exercise.
